This is a wonderful vintage sterling silver bolo tie made by Navajo Diné silversmith Fred Guerro.  The ornamental clasp slide is made in an oval shape and has a turquoise stone set in its centre. The silver is worked in a concentric design surrounding the stone.  The back is stamped “FG Sterling” - FG is commonly used by Fred Guerro.  The tie is made of braided black leather and there is a silver aiguillette at either end, each aiguillette made in an elegant tapered shape with a tip that resembles a Japanese lantern.  The tie has a “fall” of 19 3/4”.  It is in very good condition with no signs of wear - the slide is locking and working well.  This is a wonderful bolo tie - Guerro’s work is highly desirable!
