This is a wonderful mens outer jacket, almost like a bomber style windbreaker, made in a “new wave” style.  The jacket is made of tones of black and light and dark grey wool with specks of red and yellow colour.  The pattern consists of light grey vertically rectangular shapes against a textured background.  It has design features of the New Wave fashion movement - wide shoulders, wide inset sleeves that taper to the cuff, a box pleat along the sides, adjustable belt at the waist that extends around the back that cinches the waist, collar that can be zipped up to cover the neck, adjustable belts at the cuffs and a flap that covers the zipper, secured closed with three snaps.  There is a small vertical pocket hidden under either box pleat in addition to the side pockets.  The jacket is fully lined in a black quilted fabric that is stuffed with filler for extra warmth. It is unused and retains the retailer’s hang tag with the original price of $135, a lot of money during the early 80s.

Sizing: Size 46 is indicated, but it may fit a slight smaller size should you like a looser fit - please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare measurements with a similar jacket that you presently own or to your own body measurements, taking the cut of the garment into account):

Shoulders: 23” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 20”

Chest:  at least 46” around, difficult to ascertain because of the width of the sleeve at the body seam

Waist:  40” with the belts cinched slightly

Bottom:  48” around

Overall length:  32”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in excellent condition as it is unused - no stains, odors, wear or tears - this jacket has been well cared for over the years.

This is an interesting jacket made in a rarely seen style - great 80s New Wave look!
