For over two decades Amy Nguyen has been cultivating her love of art and fabric. During the last decade, her artistic journey led her in the direction of wearable art. She uses ancient dyeing techniques such as Shibori, Itajime, rozome, and katazome to express pattern and color on a single piece of expansive white cloth which is deconstructed and then hand-cut, stitched, pieced, or quilted. Kinetic in nature, each piece is both sculptural and functional on the body.
