This is a fabulous pair of authentic vintage 70s platform shoes for women. They feature a 1 1/2” thick sole, ankle strap and a chunky high heel.  These 70s platform shoes are covered in brown suede leather that is perforated with oval shapes. 

Age: 1970s

Maker: Chaussures Ravel. Chaussures Ravel of London, was founded during the 1930s, but adopted the name Ravel in 1965.  They were known for supplying shoes to the mods of Carnaby Street during the 60s. The singer Lulu and the model Twiggy wore Ravel.

Sizing: Size 7 is stamped on the interior back of these 70s platform shoes (see close-up photo), but this is a UK size.  The woman from whom these came normally wore a US size 9 and the insole length is consistent with a US size 9, but please note what measurements that I can provide:

Insole:  10” in length from tip of toe to back of the insole, following the contour of the insole

Sole Width: 3 1/2” at its widest

Heel:  3 3/4” in height

Back height:  7 1/4”

Condition: These 70s platform shoes are in very good condition with light wear to the front of the sole, maybe a couple of dark marks to the suede, nothing pronounced, really insignificant.  The insole is very clean and the insole stamps clear and bright - these look to have seen very little use.
