This is an antique sterling silver button hook that is marked simply with “Sterling”, so most likely of American origin. It has a wonderful knotted rope design top. This antique sterling silver button hook is part of the collection of button hooks that was amassed by a long time collector. It measures 14 1/2” in length, a fairly large example. It measures 7 1/8” in length - the sterling silver part is from the marking and up has a length of 3 1/4” while the rest is steel. It weighs 33 grams (1.16 oz). It is in very good condition.
