Barong Ring Akasa – The Spaceman

Barong Ring Akasa is a fictional Barong in the sky. But The Island of Gods is full of cosmo–logical and adventurous ideas between heaven and earth. Training in early days may have unlocked his superpowers, as he can ride a dragon like a rocket and send lightning upwards. Kiting is still a common activity today.

Similar to the lightning bolts sent by The Spaceman, ‘Umbul-Umbul’, are flags visible from afar, which are a constant reminder of the presence of the gods in Bali. Their dragon-tail-like shape represents the connection between heaven and earth. The color Blue resonates with the human soul and draws the viewer in.
