This is a pre-owned 100% baby alpaca overcoat sold at Montreal men’s store Boutique Jacques - Boutique Jacques was once home to business and political elite.  This baby alpaca overcoat is made in a classic style with padded shoulders, wide notched lapels, a six button double breasted configuration front, flapped side patch pockets, and three button split cuffs.  There is an 18” long kick vent at the bottom back.  This baby alpaca overcoat is fully lined in black satin acetate.   The coat is black. 

Content label:  This 100% baby alpaca overcoat has a Tyvek label identifying the model as “style 109” and states that the coat was union made in Canada by the ACTWU/TAVT which was in existence between 1976 and 1995. The CA textile identification number of CA00292 is assigned to Cardinal of Montreal, Canada, a manufacturer with a history dating to 1938 that from the beginning focused on manufacturing quality overcoats and topcoats, mostly in pure cashmere as well as this baby alpaca overcoat. 

Sizing: The size label reads US size 48 regular, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Shoulders: 23” from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 26” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long

Chest: 56” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 54”

Hips:  56”

Overall length: 50 1/2“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam to the hemline

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this baby alpaca overcoat is in very clean condition with nice nappe (finish) - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  There is no pronounced wear, tear or staining. 

This is a beautiful quality baby alpaca overcoat - would have originally been expensive!
