This is a wonderful vintage Valentino black velvet dinner jacket.  This black velvet dinner jacket has a small standing collar and closes up to the top with five velvet covered buttons.  It has padded shoulders, no back vent, a flapped pocket at either side and a chest pocket. It is fully lined in grey viscose satin. 

Labels: Tessuto Valentino Atelier.  This label was in use during the 1980s

Fabric:  Velvet - unsure of composition as the content label was removed, but super quality

Sizing: There is no size label on this black velvet dinner jacket and although it should fit a medium size (about a US size 40), please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 18 1/2” long

Chest: 44” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 42”

Hips:  44”

Overall length: 31 1/2“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This black velvet dinner jacket is in very good condition - no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour.
