This is a quality vintage Valentino pullover sweater made in China using an Italian made yarn of 60% alpaca and 40% wool.  It is difficult to date precisely, but I would think that it was made during the late 90s. This pullover sweater features a cable knit in three colours - a centre panel in light brown with an olive green panel on either side of it and the rest of the sweater made in charcoal grey.  It is made with dropped shoulder sleeves and has a crew neckline.  It has a long silhouette with longer than usual sleeves so may be meant for someone tall.  The size label on this pullover sweater reads “L”, and although it should be a size large, please read the following measurements for fit, noting the cut of the pullover sweater and that the measurements are for unstretched knit:

Sleeves: 43” long from the mid neck to the cuff edge - you could turn the cuffs to shorten the sleeve by a few inches

Sleeve Inseam: 26 1/2” long

Chest: 52” around, taken under the arms, 26” across pit-to-pit

Bottom:  31” around, unstretched

Overall length: 34” measured flat at the back and 31” measured flat at the front from the top edge of the neckline to the bottom edge

Condition:  This sweater is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or tear.  There is a little yellowing of the care label and the label.

This is a very nice quality alpaca and wool pullover sweater as you would expect from Valentino!
