Traditionally, Gadwal sarees were handwoven in fine cotton with pure zari borders, but now has made its foray into 100% silk woven yards. The USP of a Silk Gadwal apart from its exquisite look is the fact that the borders are interlocked with the body in a 'Korvai' technique.

Intricate in execution, it involves the joining of two different contrast colours when the body meets the two borders. This weaving detail is has become a design feature in itself and further enhances a Gadwal's bold use of colors.
