MADDER SILK

The name “Madder” refers to the plant Rubia Tinctorum, from which natural dyes are extracted for the dyeing process. Traditionally, madder roots produce primarily red dyes, however, the modern dyeing process offers a wider array of rich, saturated hues. These colours are dark and dusty in tone; colours like mustards, forest greens, burnt oranges, deep blues and violets, and burgundies.
