If one had a chance to occupy a seat of the 2,156 available at Milwaukee's Melody Top Theatre on Good Hope Road from 1963 to 1986, they experienced the best of summer stock musical theatre. The list includes Jo Ann Worley, John Raitt, Tommy Tune, Rita Morena, Leonard Nimoy, Betty White, Christopher Walken, Jane Powell, Van Johnson, Chita Rivera, and Christine Ebersole. Lucille Ball even visited Milwaukee to see her children perform at the Melody Top.
