The 1999-2000 Oklahoma State Cowboys entered the season ranked #22 in the AP Poll and would reach #8 during the season.  Led by high flyer Desmond Mason, and point guard Doug Gottlieb the Cowboys finished the regular season 24-6 and entered the NCAA Tournament as the #3 seed in the East Region.  

Easy wins over Hofstra and Pepperdine put Okie State in the Sweet 16 where they would take on Seton Hall.  It was Gottlieb and his twelve assists that dished the Cowboys way into the Elite 8 where they would fall to 5-seed Florida, 77-65.
