This is a gorgeous cotton velvet dressing gown featuring a rich looking paisley print. It is seamstress made, so there is no label, but I believe that it may be Liberty fabric, just due to the quality of the velvet and the beauty of the print. Also, because it is seamstress made, it is a little difficult to date precisely, but I believe that it was made during the 1960s. It is made with a wide collar, and high-set wide lapels with raglan styled inset bell shaped sleeves in an above-the-wrist length. It cinches at the waist with a matching sash belt and is made in an ankle length.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the dress into consideration:
Sleeves: 27 1/2” from the neck seam
Sleeve inseam: 15”
Bust: 41” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 33” around with a normal overlap, but meant to be cinched with the belt
Hips: 42” around, but meant to fall loosely
Overall length: 57", measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odours. This piece has been well stored and cared for over the years.
