This is a 1970s era tweed wool coat made by Krizia of Italy.  This Krizia coat has a wide squared collar with rounded tips, full cut raglan style sleeves with cinching buckled belts at the cuffs.  There is a pocket built into either side, outlined in decorative stitching, and a 22” kick vent at the bottom back.  It is cut with a flare to the hemline and has a mid calf length.  The coat is unlined but has a button-in fleece thermal lining.

Label: Krizia Made in Italy.  Krizia was founded in 1954 by Mariuccia Mandelli.  It expanded rapidly during the 1960s and 70s and is known as the originator of hot pants shorts.

Fabric:  Tweed made up of a combination of tones of brown, blue and black

Sizing: Italian size 40 is indicated, which is equivalent to a US size 6 - although it should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, keeping in mind that the style of the coat:

Shoulders:  18” across, estimated

Sleeves:  23” from the estimated shoulder,  32” from the mid-neck seam to the cuff

Sleeve inseam:  16 1/4”

Bust: 44” around

Waist: 46” around

Hips: 50” around

Overall length: 44" measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odour - there are two pinhead size holes to the bottom left front (see last close-up photo), really minor, not at all visible unless viewing with a light behind the fabric, a couple of stitches would take care of this although it’s not really necessary.  This Krizia coat looks like it saw little use and was well cared for over the years.
