Invest in a true CIVVIESUPPLY original with our classic Special Forces Branch T-Shirt, featuring a design inspired by a 1940's Army PT shirt from the military's archives.
The design features the Special Forces distinctive unit insignia — a dagger pointed skyward superimposed over two crossed arrows, between and on top of a scroll around the entire design with the SF motto "De Oppresso Liber" — "to free the oppressed." Originally adopted in 1960 and approved in 1984, the distinctive unit insignia incorporates elements of the branch's history dating back to 1890, when Army Indian Scouts who served in the American west wore crossed arrows on their uniforms. The dagger represents the V-42 stiletto fighting knife issued to the elite American-Canadian commando unit during World War II — the First Special Service Force. Both countries can trace the heritage of their modern special operations forces to this unit.
Although the US Army has engaged in unconventional warfare since the American Revolution, the first Special Forces "group" wasn't established until 1952, and the branch itself wasn't officially established until 1987.
Whether you've served in Special Forces for years, just graduated the Q-Course, or want to show your support to a loved one in Special Forces, this is the shirt you'll grab every time you open your shirt drawer.
