This is a wonderful vintage mens dressing gown / lounging robe featuring a plaid pattern in tones of red, green, blue and white.  The robe has a shawl collar, turned cuffs and closes with a matching sash belt. It has a breast pocket and built-in pocket at either side.  

Age: 1940s or early 50s.

Label: Robe de Chambre Tulipe Dressing Gowns.

Material: Rayon taffeta

Sizing: No size is indicated on this mens dressing gown, but it should fit a man that fits a US size large.  In any case, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17 1/2” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 26” long

Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2” long

Chest: 48” around, approximate, depending on overlap

Waist: Meant to be cinched

Overall length: 53” measured flat, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This mens dressing gown is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours.  This looks to have seen very little use and was well cared for over the last 70 or so years.

This is a wonderful mens dressing gown – I’ve had these Tulipe dressing gowns in the past, and they’re always 1940s-50s era and great!
