This is a wonderful vintage 1950s ladies dressing gown made of lilac coloured satin fabric. This 1950s ladies dressing gown has padded shoulders, 3/4 length sleeves with turned cuffs, a wide shawl collar and a patch pocket on the right side. The collar, cuffs and pocket all have overall decorative stitching. The robe closes with a hook and eye at the waist, an internal pair of ties and cinches with a matching belt. It is unlined.
Age: 1950s
Label: No label, but professionally made
Fabric: Satin, probably a rayon satin. Beautiful weight and fall.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1950s ladies dressing gown should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 16 1/4” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 18” long
Sleeve inseam: 12 1/2”
Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 28” around
Hips: 38”-40” around
Overall length: 52" - there is a 4" hem should you need addition length, but I'm unsure if there would be a delineation line if you do so
Condition: This 1950s ladies dressing gown is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour. This looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
This is a lovely 1950s ladies dressing gown - pretty satin in a lovely tone of lilac!
