This is a vintage dressing gown or lounging robe made of a very nice quality English pure virgin wool.  It has maroon coloured shawl lapels and turned cuffs on a navy blue body.  The dressing gown has applied patch pockets at either side and at the left chest.  The dressing gown closes with a matching sash belt.   

Label:  Holt Renfrew Made in England 100& Wool.  Holt Renfrew is a venerable Canadian boutique type department store that sells only designer or luxury brands and high quality private label garments.

Age:  Most likely 1970s

Fabric labels: Pure New Wool Made in England / United Kingdom

Sizing: Size L is indicated on the fabric label, and although this should fit a medium to large size (US size 42-44), please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 19” across, from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25 1/2” long form shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 20” long

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms, approximate, depending on overlap

Waist: 46” around, uncinched, but meant to be cinched with the belt

Overall length: 49”, measured flat

Condition: This dressing gown is in very good condition with no wear, tear, holes, stains or odour - this looks like it saw very little use.  

Classy dressing gown...quality wool in an attractive colour combination, wonderful British manufacture!
