This is a vintage green velvet coat with detachable cape and hood.  The coat reminds me of something that one would wear while Christmas carolling, although it is also just an attractive coat for winter wear.  This vintage green velvet coat does up with four hidden buttons plus a brass button at the neck.  The cape attaches to six brass buttons at the front as well as to four brass buttons under the collar -  the hood attaches to the same four buttons under the collar.  The coat has padded shoulders, side pockets and is fully lined in satin with an interlining for extra warmth.  The hood is edged with black fur.

Sizing: Size 15/16 is indicated on this vintage green velvet coat, and although it should fit an extra large size, please note the following measurements, taken from the exterior, for fit - please take the style of this vintage green velvet coat and the thickness of the fabric into account:

Shoulders: 17 3/4” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25 1/2” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  17”

Bust: 52”

Waist:  54”

Hips: 56”

Length: 52”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This vintage green velvet coat is in very good condition with the exception of a dark hard spot located at the left side, 2” above the hemline and a little larger than a dime (see last close-up photo).  You could always shorten the coat to eliminate the mark should you wish to do so.  Otherwise, there is no pronounced wear, tear or stains - this vintage green velvet coat looks like it saw little use and was well cared for and stored over the years.
